Mr Aborga decided to come up with his own 10 commandments for bloggers after listen to E.L new record 10 commandments to upcoming artistes.

There are serious tips in his posts that will definitely help you if you are beginner blogger.

Please read the 10 commandments Below!!!

1. If you dont know anything about blogging, dont rush into being a blogger. Owning a blog or a site does not automatically makes you a blogger. There is more to it than the “Front End” you see..

2. If your main aim of setting up a blog is to make money, then im sorry you will be disappointed. All the successful bloggers you see around did not start making money 2 weeks after they had a blog. “Adepa na e’ ton neho” if you build something solid and authentic, you will be paid according to that. Passion for blogging is more important. Money comes when its your “Cocoa Season”

3. Approach a blogger you are close to, and get some few experiences and tips. Serve them if possible and that is how you get more education. Be humble, be loyal and be respectful. I served Mr. Nii of Social GH for some months and im glad I did. I approached Fii Fii Adinkra for wordpress tips and he taught me all I need to know. Even though I have a strong foundation now, i still respect these people and always ready to listen to their advises. Do same and you will be glad you did

4. As a beginner, its OK to copy articles from other blogs but don’t become a “Copy & Paste” blogger. Make sure you link the article back to the original source. Don’t act like you wrote them yourself and dont crop images when the content owner happens to put his site name on them. Its stealing and you may get into trouble. In my early days I emailed Ameyaw Debrah to ask for his permission to copy contents from his celebrity news session and he gave me the go ahead officially with only one condition and that is SOURCING him Properly. As time goes on, develop your writing skills and you may get better with time. You may not be a pro but people will sure enjoy reading your “class 1” English only if you make sense.

5. Know what you can actually blog about. Look for what you are good at. If you love fashion, take that and concentrate on it. If you have a blog that talks about everything from entertainment to technology to relationships, be sure to have more information about those and be very upated. Dont be a music blogger and suddenly blog about a police officer stealing fertilizer (just an example) just because the news is trending everywhere. Stay in your space and serve your readers with what they expect from you

6. Having a blog is like being in a relationship. You need to give your blog some attention. Do regular checkups and make sure most of your visitors are enjoying the site and having ease accessing your contents. Do random surveys to know what people like and what they dont like. Try to meet their expectations and keep your readers coming back for more.

The design (Theme) speed and color choices should be your concern. Dress your blog to look decent and attractive to most eyes; especially those who visit your blog regularly.

7. Its always a great thing to be the first to break the news but dont be in a haste to do that. Blogging is not about competition but about getting the right info out there. You may drive most of your visitors away if you keep putting out invalid contents. People may not take you serious even if you put out the truth once in a while. Get your facts right and know that most people depend on you to know what is really going on. Being the first to post does not necessarily mean you will be on top of Google search results.

8. Spelling mistakes and grammatical errors are the greatest turn offs for most visitors. We all make mistakes when typing but try as much as you can to prove-read your write ups before publishing. Its better to have one or two spelling mistakes than having multiples of them. People will judge your credibility with the number of mistakes you make in your article

9.If you are a music blogger like myself, make sure the songs you upload are of good quality and worth downloading. Respect your visitors who use their phone data or internet bandwidth to download your stuffs. Let them have the impression that any time they download something from you, its of good quality. Respect your visitors and give them something worth the value of their data or bandwidth.

10.Last but not the least, if your blog is ready to serve ads and make money, choose the right advertising platforms.

Most of these ad companies does not really care about the challenges your visitors may be facing whiles you are using their ads.

Avoid pop-up ads and ads that constantly covers your articles even after the visitor closes them. Be careful with the ad network you choose and don’t be swayed by their mouth watering offers.

Remember your blog and your visitors comes first.

Do more research about an ad company before you serve their ads.
Congratulation!!!

you made it to the end of the post. We hope you Learn something Vital!!!!
