ADDI GOVNOR AKA DANCEHALL SHELLA ADVICES UP AND COMING ARTIST IN GHANA .

Dear Upcoming Artistes Like Me,
I’m Joseph Justice Armah Jnr, born and bred in Bubi
ashie /Darkuman
(Bushington Dk) on 19th April, a versatile reggae
dancehall recording
artiste, songwriter known by all musical cycles as
Addi GoVnor aka
DancehallShella for my energetic vocal abilities and
stage craft, and the
president to the alliance GET-BHiZi FAMiLY (GBF)…
I am here to give you the greatest tip ever to shine
bright in your career.
Pay great attention and just try to follow it so you
can smile to those
opposing you soon.
Before I tell you anything, I am pleading with you to
listen to ELs,
10Commandments at least two times daily to know
how the game is played,
If you’re able to pay close attention to the lyrics and
understand it, you
can change your tactics of formation play when you
sense your game becomes
tough. As many of you will not like Charles Nii
Armah Mensah (SHATTA WALE)
cause of his attitude, you can’t do away with him
and one truth about the
industry is, if you want to be recognized then you
need to work more
harder. Find time to select few of his attacking tunes
and listen deep
making sure you understand his lyrics. He always
talk what’s hindering the
progress of the industry and that’s the reason I am
in support to his
contributions to the music industry in Ghana
Opanka is one of the guys who also talk fact’s and I
have to tell you to
listen to his part in the “Seshi” produced “Definition”
and some couple of
his tunes I can list like “Take it back” etc.
Many are they that talk and brags about what they
don’t have like you have
also been doing, I know it’s part of the game
to brag.
Even without money, you can still breakthrough to be
a celebrity if only
you going to take the following serious.
1.“Respect” the pioneers in the game.
2.“Show” appreciation to those who in one way or the
other have supported
you. Here the appreciation is not about gifts or mon
ey but an endless
thanks and calls or visiting to see how he/she is
doing and to ask if you
can assist him/her in what you see him doing or if
there’s something you
can do to aid him/her for the day. Pay no attention
to people calling u
names in a bad way, but rather focus, always see
your career been a stake.
Pay back every effort and support a fan puts in your
music career in a
special way and this will eager or ginger that fellow
to support you more
than he/she does at first.
3.Don’t be “Rude” or show any immoral attitude to
the people pushing or
helping or supporting your career, a business minded
person will find it
difficult investing in a raw material like you and you
know this fact
obviously, here in Africa, many of the billionaires
and great investors are
not really fun of entertainment so you know that
kind of person supporting
you needs your time to work wholeheartedly.…
4.Give your self a CHALLENGE , build up your “CAN
DO SPIRIT“and power up
your game, you will always find your self on track
and let your works do
the talking not your mouth, make u sure you UTILIZE
any great thinker close
to you, put his/her positive advice into practice in a
career manner if you
really mean business.
5.Remeber time and tide wait for no man, even with
out MONEY you can let
your talent explore in many dynamic ways, don’t sit
down and be saying you
waiting for money or a promise from someone, he/
her is human and can fail
you at any point in time, ignore such excuses and
take a step in your music
life, don’t get carried away by little vicinity hype and
be thinking all is
okay, music is a mission and has no limit of ending,
so choose VIGOUR over
EGO.
6.The most important clue to every artistes uplift
ment is “BRANDING”.
Branding is the most expensive of all elements in
the music game, but smart
artistes always have a way to overcome this brand
ing stress which numerous
artiste don’t have a clue to, don’t be a raw artiste,
try to own your self
a unique brand which can pierce through the heart of
your music lovers and
disclaimers as well.
7.Cultivate the habit and techniques of doing good
music for your music
lovers, make sure your works are perfect to pierce
through the hearts of
music lovers, bear in mind music is the food for
the soul.
8.Make sure you build up your stage or performing
craft, that alone
signifies the matured artiste you are and your readi
ness for music
industry.
I KNOW IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO
ACCOMPLISHED ALL THIS TASK BUT TRY TO LET
IT BE IN MIND AND A RULE TO YOUR MUSIC LIFE
LEARN TO BE SOBER, THAT YOU WILL NEVER
BREACH THIS RULE OF THE GAME.
