ACT FOR CHANGE PRESENTS THE 3RD ANNUAL JAMES TOWN ARTS FESTIVAL IN APRIL

The concept for James Town Arts Festival was born out of Act for Change's specific knowledge of the James Town creative community and our nuanced understanding of social issues our community faces, specifically unemployment and stigmatization.

James Town Arts Festival therefore aims to address these twin issues, of unemployment and industry margibalization, by celebrating our vibrant and innovative creative community

This year will be the 3rd year running.

Activities which will takes place during the festival are:juvenile boxing, theatre, graffiti, music, children's face painting, African arts market, Jama,Cultural drumming and dancing etc.

Mizter Okyere serenades Asantehene at Commemorative Stamp Programme at Manhyia

Young Renowned Ghanaian Saxophonist, Mizter Okyere, had a great opportunity to serenade His Royal Highness, Nana Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene at His Commemorative Stamp Programme at Manhyia Palace. The event was part of Otumfuo's Silver Jubilee Celebrations that happened recently; the royal celebrations took both the local and international front for weeks, and are still trending. 25 years of meaningful reign with classic melodies performed by Mizter Okyere. Mizter Okyere, who shuffles between Ghana and the United States has done quite tremendously within the music space over the years with duets done with Samini, Kofi Kinaata, just to name a few.
