Ypee, Sarkodie & Medikal Are All ‘Thieves’ & I Will File A Copyright Claim Against Them -Showboy Threatens As He Gives More Evidence To Prove His Case

Showboy accuses Ypee, Sarkodie x Medikal for stealing his song

GHBase.com in one of its publications on (February 17, 2018) recounted how Showboy lambasted Sarkodie and Ypee for not giving him the needed credit after stealing his signature and rapping on it in a song.

To clear doubts, Ypee released a track titled “Meye Guy” remix featuring Sarkodie and Medikal and music lovers have been hailing Ypee since yesterday for the amazing project not knowing that everything about the song belongs to Showboy.

According to Sam Safo who shared his frustrations about how he has been robbed to GHBase.com revealed that he first recorded the song with Ypee titled “Meye Guy” somewhere in 2016. He added that Ypee afterward cut off his verse on the song and then released it as his own single before featuring Sarkodie and Medikal on the remix of the song.

Showboy who doubles as the CEO of 2hypegang record goes on to talk about how he contacted Ypee, Sarkodie, and Medikal to give him the needed credit during the remix of “Meye Guy”. Unfortunately, they nodded in agreement but just to realize that the song, as well as the video, is out with no credit given or whatsoever.

A disappointed Showboy took to Twitter and retweeted to Sarkodie after the latter has shared the link to the song. Sadly, fans of Sarkodie rained insults on Showboy with the perception that he’s doing that for hype. Meanwhile, evidence made available to Ghbase.com proves beyond reasonable doubt that Ypee, Sarkodie, and Medikal stole the song from Showboy and they just want to bully him as well. See Showboy’s tweet below:

It’s in the light of this that Sam Safo who used to be an astute member of Criss Waddle’s AMG Business has vowed to file a complaint against Ypee, Sarkodie, and Medikal for stealing his intellectual property without giving him the due credit and recognition.

Speaking to Ghbase.com, Showboy feels they intentionally decided to steal his song, so they could get the needed hype when he complains about the theft.

“I don’t know why some people keep doing this to me. Medikal insulted me on ‘Grind Day’ just so the song could trend and now, they have stolen a song I released in 2016. The song was my idea and I featured Ypee, who wanted to sign me but I refused. They discredited the fact that I composed the hook and arranged the hook. I’m filing a case against all of them. Ypee wants to trend as well, that’s why he did that.”

Showboy’s Artwork for his mixtape shows the track is owned by him

Showboy also revealed that he released the song ‘Mey3 Guy’ in 2016 as one of the many songs on his Twi Rap Mixtape and has registered the song with several others too with BMI (Broadcast Music International).

It’s hard to tell if Showboy has a genuine case as we cannot tell the terms of agreement they had when  he featured him (Ypee) on his track, ‘Mey3 Guy’ in 2016 but according to Showboy, it’s his song and he was the brain behind the song, so he finds it ‘insulting’ that they decided to use his song without giving him dude credit even when they had promised to do so.

We leave you guys to be the judge. Share your thoughts on this in comments.
